Why do most people root for the underdog?
Why do most people root for the underdog? An underdog is
someone who is in a disadvantage or someone who is less likely to accomplish
their goal such as winning a race or beating someone in a game. Favorites are
people that have likely more experience or are overall better at something, so
they usually have a bigger chance to win. People like to root for the underdog
because it’s something new and more surprising if the underdog wins. That means
that it’s more fun to watch the underdog win than watch the favorite win again.
Sometimes people bet for example on horses and the horses that are worse in
racing have a better money multiplier so if they win the person that bet on the
underdog will get a lot more money than a person that bet on the favorite.
The first three sentences are redundant and should be cut. The topic sentences comes in the middle of the paragraph and there is no conclusion.
