 On February 24 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Russian officials said, that the reason behind the invasion is protecting russians living in Ukraine and making an denazification of the country. Their goal was to capture Kyiv in a couple days, but the war has been going on for more than six months. Russia has made substancial damage to ukrainian cities, buildings and caused deaths of many ukrainian and russian people. Recently Russia has announced a "partial mobilisation" in the country. It's speculated that the mobilisation isn't partial but more close to 100% mobilisation. Many men have to leave their wives and children to participate in the war, and because of this many protests have started to appear in Russia.  In my opinion Russia had no real reason to invade Ukraine other than to take back their land that was given to them by the USSR. On Thursday, 8th of September 2022 doctors of Elizabeth II said that they were „concerned for her health”. Hours later Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II has died peacefully at Balmoral after serving 70 years as the queen. After her death, Prince Charles, the duke of Cornwall who was the heir to the throne became the King and his wife Camilla, the dutchess of Cornwall became the Queen Consort. And because of that Prince William is now the Heir to the Throne. A couple days after her death, her coffin was transported to Westminster Hall for the public to see and mourn the loss of their queen. The queue to the building had to be paused after reaching 8km in distance which made the waiting time almost 14 hours.
