The future of robotics
The first "robot" ever made was back in 3000 B.C in the ancient Egypt. It was a clock powered by water that used human figurines to strike a bell every hour. Since then people have been making inventions to help with hard work or even save lives of other people. The first modern robot was invented by George C. Devol, an inventor from Louisville, Kentucky and later modified by Joseph Engleberger to become the first industrial robot. Industrial robots these days are widely used to automitize factory production for example cars. But robots did not only impact the world by making working easier but also from movies such as Star Wars where they play a big role in the story. Since then people started trying to create a robot that is similar to a human so they're called "humanoids". A robotics company called Boston Dynamics made a humanoid called Atlas that can jump, run and even do backflips and a different company called HansonRobotics created a humanoid called Sop...
